“CHEPITO y TEJANO BROWN” We are out of Ogden, Utah and we are the only progressive Tejano band from Utah. We have been together since January 2007. But each band member has many years of experience. The style of our music is “TEJANO”.
We are a 6 piece band “CHEPITO y TEJANO BROWN“ P. “CHEPITO” BALLI : Lead Guitar, Bajo/Quinto, and Keyboards. NOEL HERNANDEZ : Lead Vocals & Keyboards. ANDY TURRUBIARTEZ : Drums & vocals. FERNANDO “MR.DJ” BALLI : Percussion’s & Keyboards. JUAN HERNANDEZ : Bass & Vocals. PETE TURRUBIARTEZ JR. : Keyboards & Accordion.
Chepito Tejano Life CD was release in Nov. 2007 from Funkystyle Records. This is what’s been happening with the CD "Chepito Tejano Life" the song "Solo Para Ti" made it to number 4 on bnetradio top 20 Jan. 20, 2008 and made to number 16 on Tejanisimo Xtreme Leon top 20 for the Month of Jan. 2008, made it to number 17 on Tejano Gold Countdown and number 4 on West Texas top 20 for the Month of March, 2008. And the song “Porque Tu” made it in the top 20 on Bnetradio for the Month of June & July 2008.
On January 26,2008. Jesse M. Garcia, Ogden City Council, Presented each band member of Chepito y Tejano Brown a Certificate Of Appreciation, For unique Tex-Mex style and also from Pamela Candia Hernandez, Diversity Manager of Ogden-Weber Applied Technology College, presented Chepito Balli with a glass plaque to acknowledge to his support of the College and the Hispanic/Latino community through his unique Tex-Mex Style of Music.
Our CD is now getting air play in Texas, Kansas, Chicago, Colorado California, Oregon, New Mexico, Washington and Idaho. We have been interviewed on the radio stations in Texas, Kansas, Colorado, Oregon, Chicago and also on Countdown U.S.A. with Ben Gonzales. And our CD's is now being distributed to all the record stores nation wide.
We also got invited in March 7, 8, 9, 2008 to perform at the Tejano Fan Fair in San Antonio, Texas. And also in August 15,16, 2008 we got to perform at the 2008 Dallas Tejano Convention Expos………….
Our second CD, titled “Es Mi Mujer”, was released April 24th 2009 on FunkyStyle Records. The title song “Es Mi Mujer” has made Xtreme Tejanismo Leon top 20. The next song titled “Con Ella” made it up to number 3 on CountDown USA top 10, also made it to number 1 on Tejano Magazines top 20. Our CD is being played at all radio stations nation wide. We were invited to perform at the 29th annual Fan Fair in San Antonio TX and also the Tejano Convention in Dallas TX.
